“Montgomery works to improve economic outlook”

We've heard for a long, long time that Montgomery County is unfriendly to business.  Do you want evidence?  How about this from the Montgomery Gazette of December 28, 2011:

“However, in the past 10 years, Montgomery County has not created any new net jobs [emphasis ours], despite the fact that the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area created 420,000 new jobs.”

“Pension costs soar for Montgomery County schools”

From the Washington Examiner of November 30, 2011:

"The Montgomery County school system will need to significantly increase its contributions to employee pension plans over the next two to three years, according to new findings by the County Council's Office of Legislative Oversight.

"The $77.8 million pension fund contribution budgeted for the current fiscal year already represents a 369 percent increase over the $16.6 million contribution made 10 years ago.
